Sleek appearance, high stability: Our roof lanterns are designed for modern flat roof architecture – with slim profile views and a structural design that simplifies installation and supports watertightness.
Profile Geometry & Design
- Slim rafters (e.g., 40 mm profile width – depending on the design)
- Reduced interior view due to optimized geometry (compared to many alternatives)
- Proportionally harmonious roofline with clean lines for contemporary architecture
Load-bearing Capacity & Safety
- Robustly constructed (e.g., up to 3.5 kN/m² uniformly distributed load – design-dependent)
- Ring beam/support frame as a system component – reduces dependence on the on-site upstand
- Mechanically secured connection (e.g., pressure plate system) for robust clamping and lasting hold
Thermal Protection (depending on glazing)
- Thermal break in the profiles – reduces cold bridges
- Very good insulation values possible – specific U-values are product/design-dependent
Warranty (DE): For roof lanterns from SARIS's own production, a 10-year manufacturer's warranty applies according to the warranty conditions (see warranty page for details).
Planning & Installation – Measurement, Upstand, Sealing
Planning & Installation – Measurement, Upstand, Sealing
For your rooflight to fit exactly, dimensional reference, upstand, and roof sealing are crucial. The following points will help with planning and installation – without PDF downloads.
Correctly understanding dimensional reference
- Order dimension refers to the defined system/light opening (product-dependent)
- External dimensions can be constructively larger (overhangs/profile structure)
- Plan tolerances for substructure and sealing
Upstand & slope
- Recommended: Upstand at least approx. 150 mm above roof level (project-specific)
- Ensure sufficient slope to avoid standing water
- Execute the top of the upstand even/flat (prepare the support surface cleanly)
Sealing & connection
- Prepare surfaces to be dry, dust-free, grease-free
- Choose sealing system (e.g., EPDM/bitumen/foil) on-site to match the roof structure
- Installation/sealing always according to trade rules for roofers or manufacturer specifications
Note: Screws/fasteners and on-site sealing membranes are – depending on the roof structure – not automatically included.
Shipping & Delivery – Notification, Curbside, Unloading
Shipping & Delivery – Notification, Curbside, Unloading
We deliver your roof lantern free of shipping costs throughout Germany. Delivery is made via specialized freight forwarders/logistics with notification (by phone/SMS) – if available from the service provider.
Delivery times (estimated)
- Standard sizes / Stock items: usually 10–14 working days (depending on design and capacity utilization)
- Custom-made designs / Individual sizes: usually 3 to 6 weeks (after technical clarification/approval)
Delivery & Unloading
- Delivery usually takes place curbside
- Unloading on site: Please provide sufficient helpers and suitable unloading aids (e.g. pallet truck/forklift) – depending on size/weight
- Goods must be accessible at the time of unloading (consider access road/parking area/surface)
Important notes
- Please check goods for transport damage upon delivery and note any damage directly with the driver
- In case of non-acceptance/unavailability, additional costs (e.g. second delivery/storage) may arise

Upstand, Sealing & Installation – structured for a tight connection
For a permanently watertight rooflight, dimensional reference, upstand, and roof sealing are crucial. With cleanly prepared bearing surfaces and a coordinated connection structure, installation succeeds reproducibly – especially in flat roof projects.
- 1) Clarify dimensional reference: Check order dimension/opening dimension according to product definition (light opening vs. external dimension).
- 2) Create upstand: Even, stable, with sufficient height (project-specific, often approx. 150 mm+). Design slope so that no water accumulates.
- 3) Prepare bearing surface: Surface dry, dust-free and grease-free. Consider tolerances.
- 4) Connect sealing: Roof sealing (e.g. EPDM/bitumen/foil) to be carried out on site according to roof structure and technical regulations.
- 5) Place & align rooflight: Place system, align, check sealing zones – then fasten according to specifications.
- 6) Final inspection: Visual inspection of connection joints, sealing areas, and water drainage (if necessary, water test according to roofer standard).
Note: Screws/fasteners and on-site sealing membranes are – depending on the roof structure – not automatically part of every delivery.
